Forget The Forms

Lines that read as
a claim you did not make.

Before a person reads your résumé, software may read it first, for keywords rather than for sentences.

This page has no server behind it. Your text is read by the script on this page, and it is not uploaded or saved. The desktop app is different: the homepage says what it uploads.

What it looks for

  • A degree still in progress, such as “MBA Candidate”, where software reading for keywords can keep “MBA” and drop “Candidate”.
  • Two credentials written as one, such as “RN/LPN”, which can be read as a single thing.
  • A credential named in a line that never claimed it, such as coaching people through an exam or quoting what a job asked for.

What it is not

  • A check on you. It reads wording and looks nothing up. Every line it returns is a remark about a sentence you wrote.
  • A verdict. If it finds nothing, the scan found none of these three patterns, and that says nothing about the rest of the résumé.

The scan comes from Forget The Forms, which finds jobs and fills applications from your own computer. How the app works.
